We didn't call it a "party" because we didn't do all of the party things that we normally do. Since we are going on vacation, we decided to scale back the party this year - he
will be in Yorktown for his birthday, after all! But, we did let him have a couple of friends over to swim. Dawson and Dylan Stitt came, as well as Jake, a friend from scouts. It was rainy and borderline stormy at first, but the boys had a ball just playing with Caleb's legos. The storm passed quickly and the boys were in the pool in a flash. Boys are so different than girls!!!! It is just constant energy and movement. With girls, I guess it is constant talking! They are all such good boys though and they played so well together.
After swimming, Caleb wanted them to get to decorate their own cupcakes, so each boy chose the cupcake they wanted, the frosting they wanted and the sprinkles for the top and went to town.
Caleb had so much fun getting to hang out with the boys at his house doing boy things! We gave him a new outfit and a lego set and he just hugged his daddy so tight when he saw what it was - I guess he liked it!
I just find it hard to believe that my "baby" is going to be 9 in few days! We are so thankful that Jesus picked us to be his parents - he is a blessing!

The boys had a great time with the birthday boy!
Thanks!
Ahhhhh, that is so fun to see him so happy at the end with his daddy! What a blessing that you were able to do that. It looks like they all had a great time. We pray that y'all are safe on your trip.
Love you, Tammy
